About the Course
This course covers computational methods of an algebraic nature. Students will learn advanced topics about algebraic solutions of equations not covered in standard courses.
Topics include: linear algebra, Gaussian elimination, determinants, Cramer's rule, parametrization of lines and planes, Bezout's theorem for roots of polynomials, Descarte's rule of signs, formula for roots of cubic and quartic polynomials, solution of equations in terms of radicals, rational root theorem, matrix of a linear transformation, isometries, dilations, reflections, rotations.
